A. Lange & Söhne

Lange has pulled a bad trick on collectors

By re-launching the PLM which was originally a limited edition of 200, Lange has short changed the collectors that paid for exclusivity. Even though the dial is not enamel, the approach taken by Lange is quite unfair to loyal Lange watch collectors.
I guess this is where Patek scores. Whenever limited editions were announced they have remained so. Classic examples were the Pagoda(whose moulds were destroyed by Patek after the production run); the 5100(10day); 3969(jump hour); 5099R(cabriolet with the flip open case) 3960(officer).
