I simply misunderstood your introduction lines to your post: I felt addressed, as if I would think that there are two chrono movements.
Regarding Suitbert and Jerome: it is my and, luckily also your way to look at this complex chrono.
To see this watch as a double rattrapante as Suitbert did is actually also a unique interpretation and also a correct one, without a doubt.

...and I now finally understand it having read your post! Now that I have the DS, other chronos pale -- and I have lots of useful purposes, such as recording what portion of my trip is spent on the subway and what portion walking to and from the station. ...
