I'm not sure why the Cabaret isn't more popular. Saw this one, and instantly fell in love. It had never been serviced, and was scratched, dinged, dented, the movement discoloured, and was gaining 30 seconds a day. I still bought it without hesitation, vis...  

Never thought they'd be about the same size and form! One of the magical things about the cabaret is the illusion of how they manage to cram in a bigdate into such a narrow, rectangular case...The shaped movement is also something very unique that you don... 

I find that the Cabaret wears a bit bigger than the Grande Taille, mainly because of a taller dial. I also love that the top case and crystal are slightly convex. Finally the big date is symmetrical, and frankly fits better on the Cabaret than on a Lange ... 

Especially the moon phase variant with big date. I love the lines of this watch, and it comes in all the dial variations you'd expect from ALS. Fortunately, they seem readily available on the secondary market...and reasonably priced.

The great thing about buying used is the confidence that Lange is able to restore things back to new. This watch is just about 17 years old, and until now had never been serviced. It wasn't babied either. I can now make my own scratches!

that Lange has done such an outstanding job. Given my recent poor experience with PP service I am thinking of purchasing a Lange and it is nice to hear stories like yours where the service is of a high standard. The watch looks great.

It stands up well to the Reverso, the Tank, The GP Vintage 45. Great catch.

back to its full glory, I think it's acceptable. And I feel so glad for you to continue the love affair with the watch. On a side note, that sky blue strap on the Reverso GT looks fantastic! I need to get one for my Reverso GT. It totally changed the look... 

... Lange will put more effort into reducing the turnaround time for servicing in Glashutte. That's what we've heard in the last few years. We'll see!

And it was only a Taipei - HK return trip, not to Glashutte. So I guess the effort to reduce turnaround time has not been enough, from a customer's point of view.

HK to get checked, even though the boutique said HK will only service current models. Then 6 months in Germany. The wait was worth it!
