Two new watches: 1) LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR "Lumen". Platinum, limited to 50 pieces. Looks absolutely incredible. ( link ) 2) SAXONIA ANNUAL CALENDAR - Feels like a modern and sleeker version of the Langmatik. Available in pink or white gold...  

This one is really tempting!

Is it just me or - if you squint at the new Saxonia AC's dial - do you also see the JLC ultra thin perpetual calendar? But, oh goodness me: even more gold paint on the same ARCAP rotor...come on guys.

..the attraction of the older model was its austerity...very solemn which I like. And I prefer 38.5mm, which is perfect. But they did fix the kerning on the type, which was kind of bad on the previous reference... Credit: Bruno ...  

The lumen concept works best with models in the Lange 1 family, for me. Those are much more appealing than lumen models from other families. And as someone with a small wrist, I'm really looking forward to seeing the new Saxonia AC in person. A complicate... 

For me, the lumen series works best with the zeitwerks cause I can see all the numbers mixed up around behind the dial

i like it on the zeitwerks too. not too busy. these new lumens carry a heavy premium.

For me, a key design feature of the ZW is the crisp, clean, precise way that the ZW shows me the time. I like that the ZW shows me only what's happening on home base, and screens out what's happening in the dugout, in the bullpen, and elsewhere on the fie... 

I love seeing the gears and discs below the surface, but the glowing moon phase and stars is what really does it for me. The Lumen treatment seems to be be the prefect compliment to Lange's wonderful moon phase discs.
