What do you think of the date?
I'd prefer there to be a zero digit instead of a blank panel. Are they making a reference to something historic (a clock or something) that I'm not aware of? Or maybe just the designer's preference.

I knew the story but this is the first time I have been made aware that the non-use of a zero was a stipulation from Herr Blümlein rather than simply a feature of the JLC patented mechanism that he gifted to Lange Uhren.
