I loved reading your message! And the pictures are a feast for the eyes. Thanks! I wasnt into watches back in 1994
but I think the earth must have been shaking when the first Lange's where shown to the public!

Can I make a minor correction as to the information provided in your post - indeed 201 Tourbillon "Pour le Mérite" watches
where made:

100 in YG
50 in PT
25 in RG
25 in WG
1 in SS

And the chain - I too always thought it was 24 cm long but it is 152mm long exclusive of the "hook" and 156mm inclusive of the hook.

Thanks for a mouthwatering post - my watch wish list has the Tourbillon "Pour le Mérite" in PT on position one and in
WG on position 2 ... care to guess what is at number three?

The Lange & Söhne brand as we know it now was created in December 1990 when it was registered by Walter Lange. But the true kick off was the public presentation by Gunter Blumlein, Harmut Knothe and Walter Lange of the first 4 watches the 24th of October,...

When you posted the first pics of the WG PLM, I believed that it was a ....Novelty, THE big surprise frm Lange! I never saw in the flesh, nor even in pics, the WG PLM. So, as a big fan of the platinum PLM, you may imagine my sirprise ,and my impatience. N... 

WG version is so nice....

but what is about the RG? PT or WG with that black dial would be my personal "killer" The Tourbograph doesn´t speak to me - maybe too obviously. The Breguet looks "interesting", but bulky and the others are "no go´s" for me. The RL PLM (PT) is probably on...

The Pt is probably a bit too somber for me (more suitable for turbograph) while the RG, I don't like the indexes. Thank you for sharing with us such beautiful pictures and all the technical detail. Of all 3 PLM, I like the Tourbillon (for its originality)...

The wg version of what is my favourite tourbillon is definetely one of my grail watches.I agree with Nico that I missed out on this beauty with blue dial(back then I probably didn t know what a tourbillon was though alas!).No Breguet can t quite compare w...
