Have applied here. Crown guards only make sense to me for dive watches and chronographs IMHO.
The 15300 has a screw down crown so I think ok as is.
It was also made to initially be an improved version of the 15202. Hacking seconds and date etc. yes retaining the essence of the 5402 in size and basic looks. Reinterpreted slightly.
But hey, break out the photoshop and let’s see … I always try to say open.

I have quite a box of AP parts, straps, clasps, accessories. I received a few special accommodations over the years. Been meaning to purge and sell things I'll never use. I doubt they could still be sourced now. This would have been circa 2008 I got them....

Not sure how much high knowledge I have of AP actually. 😅 just the basics. I know they they made off catalog pieces like most other brands … but never steel plots that would fit a 15300. They had an explicit rule for not allowing non precious white metals...
