In the 90s,which is when the 1st offshores were released in the market, model was extremely unpopular. That's why only 64 examples sold of the 25721sa. On top of that, people didn't seem to like the gold bezel as it had a different alloy mixed back then that helped turn gold color copperish and people didn't like. People swapped bezels for steel ones. So out of the 64, they started disappearing. Hodinkee explained in article only of knowing 4 of existing in the market, doesn't mean only 4 total exist currently in its original form. Impossible to know so you can only go by what's out there. 64 watches on the course of 25+ years is very likely that over 50% won't exist anymore. Stolen, damaged, parted out, lost, modified etc.
It truly is a rare watch and if you saw one for sale it's one of a kind. I saw one on ebay but it's watch only and looks beat up. Something like this should be a full collector set. My opinion
