Hi,
I have found this head of the Ap Royal Oak with Movement with a friend . He had gotten it as a gift from his brother in late 80s and he wore it for few years and when the watch stalled he stopped wearing it and left it in a toiletry pouch until he met me tonight and mentioned he has an Ap. So this was shown to me & I took it immediately and informed him that I will investigate and make an offer based on the value and rarity etc .
Hence these are pics . Watch works after giving few jerks . What is it ? Is it worth anything? should I show it to Ap ? I don’t see any alphabets at the back of the watch. Pls give input pls

I'm not AP expert and have no APs but my observations: The screws on the bezel are not as "fake" as the real APs, where they are aligned My gut feel is this is real fake, leave it in the original toiletry pouch, unworn, un-polish and un-touch forever. Rgd...
I tried opening the watch from the back screws and then the front screws started to fall. I doubt it’s fake as I do own many RO and I know when Iam holding an AP in my hand ..
Hence that explains the screws of the front . Iam only interested to know whether the watch is which series and is it worth while send to Ap spa for restoration. Based on which I will decide the purchase .
'If' it was a genuine AP then it would be worth something, but it is impossible to say what. It would depend on how much the movement has been messed about with. The screws at the back
would indicate that its been treated really poorly. I would be genuinely concerned over it's authenticity though - It may be your photo's but the writing on the dial looks wrong, uneven and and badly positioned.

If it is real and there is no bracelet. What is the solution? Source a period correct bracelet or how would you be able to wear it?

Vintage is AP as well? Do you have a few pictures or examples or what should I look for. I googled but couldn't find anything.
