Can I wear a Royal Oak (properly, if this thing exists)?
Deep down I really want to own a Royal Oak for long. But 99% of their model are just too big for my tiny (sub-6”) wrist.
I went to an AP boutique today and tried on the 15450st. What do you think about the fit of this 37mm Royal Oak on my wrist?

Looks like a good fit!
Maybe also some adjustment by the dealership. I bought a 36mm Quantieme Perpetual recently. I have a medium sized wrist I’d say and can also wear large watch if I want. But the Royal Oak looks great on my wrist I reckon. Smaller watches are coming back! ...
Good quality blue dial 14790ST would be awesome.
Or alternatively, the cool Arabic military dial said to be a likely collector's piece going forward. Also 36mm! OR if spending up a bit near the price you'd have paid for a new model you can purchase a rare 14790ST in Yves Klein Blue ! Should be possible ...

It may look fine, but is it going to actually be comfy and operate as a RO should? That is the question. I think size wise it looks ok...... just. Some of the older pieces of smaller size may work better for you if you can find a nice example. So the look...
my view exactly from that pic ...it doesnt sit on top of your wrist..tight bracelet wud just press the center of the case hard against your wrist n bone but the lug gap wud remain..
...but then again anything goes these days. If it doesn't turn on the wrist its almost acceptable (not the best fit but goes)
The Bracelet is Key
I have a similar problem. For me the fit of the bracelet is key to being able to wear a watch comfortably. If the bracelet/strap is snug, the watch will not slide up and down the wrist or rotate to the underside while being worn.
It looks great on your wrist!
You may need a 1.5 link to get an ideal fit, but other than that, go for it man!
Persoanlly I wudnt pick it if it jiggles around. I wud also look into the 33mm automatic. You can even go dual tone or gold- Luks like a beautiful delicate bracelet w/o the chunkiness....
....you don't want the watch to overpower or subdue you. Its like wearing sz 12 shoes when you are 5' tall. Proportions matter ...
IMO, it looks a bit too big.
But if you're in love, go for it. Just be prepared to compromise comfort. Cheers, John

We are still talking 37mm (only)! Don‘t think too much, go for it! I have a 16cm wrist, I would take the same model! 👍🏻🍀☀️😉

I will try to see if I could get hold of a 36mm RO. And I share your opinion that the vintage watches will suit me well (and they are usually less sought after so less expensive).
I fully support it. This 37mm model looks so nice...
I can't say nicer than a 39mm, which for me is the most proper size fore a Royal Oak. But this one has awesome proportions, I like it much more than the 41mm version. Keep us posted.

I think AP overstretched the 15400. The subtlety for me is that bracelet of the older versions was thinner which helped the flow of the whole experience.
