Congrats, and an answer to your question about the rotation

Congrats on your AP RO Perpetual!  Looks great on your wrist. 

To answer your question about the AP winding box, your AP RO PC can be wound in either direction.  I also have two AP RO PC's with the most current one that has the AP presentation case winding box (AP type EV 701.008)

For simple automatic watches, the perpetual date (quantieme perpetuel) and equation of time watches can be wound in either direction (no difference). 

However, there are several models that can only be wound in the anti-clockwise rotation:
Grand complication (caliber 2885)
Chronograph (caliber 2385)
Automatic watches (caliber 2325/26/29, 2130/31/32, 2150/51)

Every 24 hours the winding box performs 1200 complete rotations over a period of one and a half hours.
