Audemars Piguet

Glad you posted these two

I have been thinking about these two lately and wanted to see such a side-by-side comparison.  The first is indeed more old school, but it is also timeless (well, over 40 years is not too shabby), while the second is so modern looking especially when see next to the 2120.  The seconds hand on the the more modern skeleton bothers me a little, and I prefer the skeletonized hands on the earlier Royal Oak.  I definitely lean towards the timeless, but I might be happier with the Vacheron skeletonized version of the same movement in a very different case and then choose the more modern 3120 for the AP skeleton.  That would be the best of both worlds for me.

Thank yo for posting this -- it is as if yoiu were reading my mind.

Best,
