The EOT is my "Grail" watch

Hello Gary,

What a beautiful watch!  The EOT remains my "grail" watch.  My wife got me the latest 43mm Jules Audemars version in YG for my 45th birthday!  I was torn between the WG and the YG versions; the YG matches my wedding band and Stanford class ring, but the WG version with the black band is pure horological beauty.  In the end I felt the YG model is a more timeless classic.  I will post pictures upon my return in about two weeks. 

It is good to see the AP Forum has a few electrons buzzing around that are not carrying RO or ROO information.  Unfortunately, I am a little concerned about the poor service support for your watch.  I hope this is an isolated incident because I purchased my EOT in Chicago, but I would like to change the cams to reflect my Minneapolis homestead.  Minnesota does not have an AP dealer.  Why did you have your watch in for service and were you expecting it to take 20+ weeks?

FYI, one of the the top watch auction sites has your model listed at no reserve!  Even though I love my gift, it would be even better had it not cost so much  The last EOT in WG sold at this same auction sight fetched far less than the retail, and it was the later 43mm case.  I like your WG case because it has the luminous hands and markers which were dropped for the more formal hands in the later version.  Judging by your case quality, I would say the sportier design of your model has been with you during some sporting times.

I remain baffled by the devaluation in such an incredible watch.  Even at retail prices, nothing comes close in terms of value given it is a perpetual calendar with (a very accurate) moon phase, sunrise, sunset, and EOT customized for your location on this planet.  Martin Braun has some cool, esoteric complications, but the AP panache--especially as executed by Jules Audemars-- is missing in the MB pieces.  I'm not knocking MB for this but elevating AP.
