I picked up a straight edge razor ( bought one for my son this Christmas ) frankly, I’m a tad nervous trying it. I love the edges on my 15400 only time will tell if I “ love “ the edge on this razor ...

i’ve been looking at YouTube videos and based on the Dovo information it’s ready to go. I have a strop coming from Amazon and brush w/ soap. I also ordered mineral oil, how often do you treat the blade with oil?

Unless you will be storing it for a long time. I really don’t use it. I have a 4K/8k Norton wet hone, and a two sided leather strop. That’s really all that’s needed to maintain the edge, imo.

And that blade looks like a perfect match. Cheers Peter
