As much as I have come to love the 8 series...

All versions I've driven (standard production) except the 850CSi were a bit ... sluggish, though they did pull seemingly forever.
The 850CSi was the exception, and of course, the Dinan twin turbo was a monster.
I find this so hard to write, because the body has really stood the test of time (one of those "I don't like it" coming off the E24 6 "The Shark" series...and you know how much I loved the E24 M6...) but I always get frustrated with bodies that promise things the drive train can't deliver...
But when other, lesser cars start to flag, the 840 and 850 just keeps on keeping on...
I just wish people knew what they were getting into with the 8, and the body, as sexy as it is, only fuels the mismatched expectations.

They had a black Lambo SUV at the Concorso Italiano, and it's a cool car! Let me see where my pics are of it. Interesting thing is that the door hinges were mounted on the outside of the car, weird huh? -MW

I saw that tractor going down the highway on a trailer.
My friends and I were driving from Monterey, after a day at the races, and we saw a Lamborghini a just up the road. As we got closer I saw the tractor on a trailer and jokingly said "Look and the Lamborghini tractor" and as we passed it I was very suprise...

Thank you for the review of the Spyker. It is a very interesting car. I doubt I will ever own an exotic car, as my pocketbook would likely never support such an indulgence, but I do enjoy their beauty. I suspect I'd sooner spend 100s of thousands on a fan...
