VW released some nice coups, the most charismatic being the Karmann Ghia, certainly. In the mid Seventies, VW came back to the Coup Style with the Scirocco, with different engines: 1.5, 1.6, 1.8... The 1.5 came with the rectangular front lights and was ...  

Corrado Only Scirocco I drove was being 8 then :) It's sad how some cars pass by only because of year we were born and we never have chance to enjoy em This Sirocco sure looks like fun and something that was response to Alfa of that years Yours D ...  

At that time, there were the Alfa GTV, too, and some great cars... The one I really wanted to drive, was the VW Karmann Ghia... But I was much too Young to test it! Best, Nicolas

.. but i remember my friend had his stored in my barn ... a 1.6 automatic (that's why i never tried it .. i think) ... I vividly remember the mark II ... when my parents decided to buy me a brand-new VW when i was 18 i asked for a Golf GTI 16V or a Sciroc...  

I would disagree on the G 60... It had more torque, and was quite funny to drive. I had all the Corrados, yes ,the 3! :) Best, my friend. Nicolas.

.. must have been a very lame one :-) ... but it was the exact car as tested by 'Le monitor automobile' in those days and they reached 240 kph on the counter where i was able to only manage 200 after really pushing ... then it stopped ... . I also remembe...

My dad had a charcoal Scirocco GTX in the mid 80's, which I wasn't allowed to drive due to it being too costly to insure for a young man of under 25yrs old. He described it one day after owning it for a couple of weeks, as being "exceedingly quick getting...
