I agree, unotaz...
and so does the WanderingPurist.
"There is really nothing on the market that comes close to the Porsche driving experience.
If only the Michelin Cup tires lasted a little bit longer and costed a little bit cheaper...."
You know, the funny thing is,
there is nothing else on the market that comes close to the Porsche driving experience, I agree, but even within Porsche models, there is no other model that comes close to the GT3RS driving experience - not the Turbos, not the GT3 non-RS; not even the GT2 RS.
Maybe the original 1972-73 RS 2.7 or 1974 3.0, but I haven't had the good fortune to try for myself.
About the Michelin Cup tires, it's all in the driving style, my friend...the WanderingPurist told his wife, "just think how much money we'll save on the brakes! It corners so well I barely need to use the brakes!"
Rolling on the throttle, flooring it only when the car is rolling; no sliding in turns; little brakes; you'd be surprised how long the Cup tires can last.
Cheers,
TM
