Intake, outtake ... confusing ...

When i see grilles and scoops etc .. i sometimes wonder what the purpose is. In my daily job i see a lot of air flowing smile ... .

So here are some pictures of some cool intakes/exits and other aerodynamical stuff ... .

Subaru Impreza (P1) ... semi-massive scoop , a frontal air-intake smile ....

... which looks a bit odd from inside the cabin ... but you get used to it quite quickly ... smile

Aston Martin Vantage ... these exits are only provided for the V12 .

Alfa Romeo Montreal ... typically Italian styling ... if you're going to put an intake on the bonnet , just make sure it's beautiful smile ... though i do wonder if there really is a hole in that bonnet ? Ben, help us out please smile

Air intake on a Mini ? Well, you can be sure it's a Cooper S, unless you're willing to pay premium for a hole in the bonnet on your standard Cooper smile

Renaultsport Clio V6 ... a 3 litre behindthe seats requires some serious cooling, one of the major problems of a mid-engined hot hatch.

Renaultsport Clio (mine) ... when it stops raining tomorrow i promise ill have a look what these are for smile ... they add a bit of aerodynamic stability and i think it is an exit for engine-heat ... . I told a friend i liked the sound of the air exiting these grilles but he told me that was actually my gearbox making that noise (which it is supposed to do) ... ooops smile .... .

Apart from the Testarossa-sleeves in the doors i think the F40 has the best balanced (for the eye) air-intakes .... IMO it can't get any cooler ... well , i love the F40 so i'm pretty biased smile .

Intakes, exits ...

Looking at the back you actually see that the engine bay is completely open smile
