Intake, outtake ... confusing ...
When i see grilles and scoops etc .. i sometimes wonder what the purpose is. In my daily job i see a lot of air flowing 
... .
So here are some pictures of some cool intakes/exits and other aerodynamical stuff ... .
Subaru Impreza (P1) ... semi-massive scoop , a frontal air-intake ....

... which looks a bit odd from inside the cabin ... but you get used to it quite quickly ...
Aston Martin Vantage ... these exits are only provided for the V12 .
Alfa Romeo Montreal ... typically Italian styling ... if you're going to put an intake on the bonnet , just make sure it's beautiful
... though i do wonder if there really is a hole in that bonnet ? Ben, help us out please 
Air intake on a Mini ? Well, you can be sure it's a Cooper S, unless you're willing to pay premium for a hole in the bonnet on your standard Cooper
Renaultsport Clio V6 ... a 3 litre behindthe seats requires some serious cooling, one of the major problems of a mid-engined hot hatch.
Renaultsport Clio (mine) ... when it stops raining tomorrow i promise ill have a look what these are for
... they add a bit of aerodynamic stability and i think it is an exit for engine-heat ... . I told a friend i liked the sound of the air exiting these grilles but he told me that was actually my gearbox making that noise (which it is supposed to do) ... ooops .... .
Apart from the Testarossa-sleeves in the doors i think the F40 has the best balanced (for the eye) air-intakes .... IMO it can't get any cooler ... well , i love the F40 so i'm pretty biased
