I ordered a coupe for a first quarter 2014 delivery, did not want a early production car (been there, done that). I have not owned a new corvette since 1985, should be a real adventure. JerryW

If my schedule works out I will pick it up in Bolling Green, have not toured the factory since the year it opened in 1983. Hope to spec it out next month. Leaning towards a white / red LT3. JerryW

That new C7 really blends in with the Lamborghinis in that last photo! I really like the look of the new C7, especially the front. I prefer the rear aesthetics of the C6 more than the rear of the C7 personally. Can't wait to sit in someone else's Corvette...

I really enjoy the front of the car, I think it looks fantastic. Just wished the back kept that four round tail lamp heritage. i really like the look of the back of the C6. Can't wait to get a ride in the C7 though. It's going to be a very special machine... 

On the way back from Pebble, a fellow Purist and I saw what we thought was a Vette off in the distance. As we slowly reeled him in, it turned out to be a 599... mwahahahahahaha!!!! :-)

I do not like that the removed the round lights. The square lights makes the rear end look a little like a camaro. They should have been round with one amber and one red on each side. Funny thing is when I see a 599 I think of it as a very expensive corve... 

Hi, Ed209, When we saw the C7 at the Petersen, I was...ambivalent - I liked some aspects of it, disliked some perspectives, and mostly "hmmmm" At the Quail, it sounded great and definitely looked much better "in situ." And then, to see it parked among the... 

Thanks TM, I agree when we saw it at Petersen some of the proportions and styling details (mostly the rear) were questionable. But I'm getting use to it and it looks so much better in person now that we can see the final production Vettes. Regards, ED-209...

the C7 is pretty nice upgrade.. and I agree on the interior (at least from reading) looks soo much better and better fit and finish? That was always my complaint of the Corvettes...a lot of ROAR..but lacking in details inside... Looking forward to your ne... 

Thanks ocwatching for viewing this post on the C7. You're right the interior is definitely so much better in terms of fit and finish than prior generations of the Corvette. It seems to me that Corvette engineers and designers have been listening to owners... 

But I do believe this will be my first, one day. Cyber Grey, of course ;-) Interesting on the engine - the new Sierra and Silverado pickups have a derivative of this 6.2L engine that produces 420HP and 460 lb-ft of torque. I have test driven the new Sierr... 

Hi MichaelC, Interesting about the engine, I didn't know that the GM pickups are running a version of the 6.2L V8 engine. I wonder if it also has the cylinder deactivation as well? Surprising it gets a claimed 29mpg in the Vette. I'm not sure if that's po... 

And is said to tow about 12,000 pounds. Mileage estimates are 14 city / 20 hgwy for the 4WD model. Honestly, the 5.3L model I tested seemed very sufficient. It does a few MPG better than the 6.2L and will tow almost the same. Still, those with the 6.2L ca... 

I have mixed feelings on this one. I don't like the rear lights, but I love the exhausts. I find that the front of the car is pleasantly agressive, but i would have preferred a more conventional Dashboard. It seems that the performances are not disappoint...
