When it's hauling around a lot of weight?
Or when the throttle response or fuel delivery or engine / tranny mapping gives the impression it is sluggish?
And don't forget, "fast" or "tame" or "exciting" or "balanced" are as much subjective terms as they are objective terms.
As with audio, numbers aren't everything with "driveability" or balance.
The Aventador felt slower than it was on the telemetry; the Laguna Seca edition Mustang felt much faster and MUCH more fun (read: dangerous / borderline unmanageable) than any of the high dollar iron (read: steel / Al / carbon fibre)
Just my humble opinion, of course.
But then, I do agree with your point (the one I think you are making, subtly and implicitly) - modern drivers are spoiled.
Cheers,
TM
