Automotive

Oh yes. I adore not having to go to gas stations!

One day, there will be a generation of kids and adults who didn't really grow up in the petrol/diesel age. And they will ask incredulously... "You mean you had to fill the car with a combustible liquid? In a tank? That sounds dirty and dangerous. And this liquid was derived from oil, which is derived from prehistoric carbon matter?"
I try to avoid vehicles with air suspensions now. As they do seem to have some problems and risks as the vehicles age. But yes, they can give an SUV a great character of both responsiveness and comfort.
I do like the idea of an electric car. Thank you very much. You get Ferrari level performance and around BMW M3 pricing. The car used to be very noisy and unrefined, but the new ones are a lot more livable.
There are kids and young adults today in USA who find it incredulous that washing machines at one point had little lawn mower engines attached to them! These existed well into the 1950s! Maybe longer in some parts of the USA.
