Purely looking at M cars

I think it's fair to say that when the Giulia came out it was a very different option compared to the F80 but the current generation from the G80 is an incredibly capable product, both in the cabin, under the hood and in terms of refinement. Anyway back to the Giulia, starting with the soundtrack, yes it's different from the inline 6 and sounds a bit fruitier, at the same time it pales in comparison to many old alfa v6s, so it really depends where you're coming from and what your expectations are. There is definitely a playfulness and a lightness to the chassis, even if in reality the weight difference is not as big as advertized. The difference in development philosophies are quite palpable too. In the sedan category the car I am most curious about is the CT5 blackwing which i suspect would be more in line with the level of exuberance I had expected out of the Giulia.
