Which is not watertight at all, but better something than nothing I would say. I\'ve got the same car, although against all purists rules in it\'s a Vintage 356 Speedster (reproduction), and have driven it (had no choice) through that kind of weather too....

And not first when you really need to slow down. But an excellent exercise in mindful driving - you definitely made sure to be aware of all that was going on around you

The only similar thing matching that photograph was that some time ago in the news they showed a couple of people drove newer looking convertible to drive through window with minus twenty celsius and a heavy snowfall in Canada. Cheers Edward
...in the teeming rain in a 61 convertible. It's 50/50 as to whether the roof up is better or not. It leaks, it fogs up, you look through a smear instead of a windscreen.... or roof down, it is just wet. And a little colder. But at least it dries out fast...
Windows fogged. Wipers flailed uselessly. Top leaked. And that is my 1991 Elan. I bought a new top in 1995 when I restored the 1971 Elan. Foolish me. It\'s still in the wrapping paper. My best sporty drive in the rain was 25 miles through an Arizona thund...
