The cars of my misspent youth but my versions weren't £350K and didn't have A/C or a leather interior.
As much as I want to love this car I just can't, now whilst I love the looks and power and snazzy leather interior I just can't find a way to rationalise the totally nuts price of this car. As I said these fast Fords of the late 70's were my youth I had a MK1 Escort Mexico followed by a MK1 RS 2000 and always aspired to one day get the MK1 RS 1800 which had the Lotus Twin Cam engine. Also if I'm being honest I doubt I would enjoy owning a car like this now at my advancing age (66) and aches and pains and am more likely looking at self driving car services over owning any car at this point in time.

C'mon Ford, homologate and mass produce, it's a legal money printing machine!
I am not a fan of four-cylinder engines as they have to work so hard...seems like too much maintenance...
...but it's gorgeous, and the price isn't even terrible as these things go...

Personally, it's a toss-up between Porsche . . .
. . . and Lotus for off-shore sports cars. But when all is said and done . . . . . . I'm a Plymouth guy at heart. What I wouldn't give to own this 4-speed 383 Fury VIP. 😍
Old Porsches are lovely...
...as are new ones. But I think they are all out of my budget. Cars are more $$ than watches these days...
