We'd see 275 fronts on a 4-door sedan, even a performance one, that's amazing when you think about it. I think some high performance cars like the ZL1 may have even wider tires but we do live in the golden age of performance rubber. On a side note I have on occasion shipped tires from the US as they used to be cheaper than over here but it no longer seems to be the case, have tire prices gone up so much in the US over the past few months/years?

I don't, or at least have not yet.
I keep the car garaged over winter and try to get it out every 2-3 weeks just to run it. I know guys that do change to snow tires and say it performs quite well, especially in the snow mode which really reduces throttle input.

Tire prices sure have gone up these past few years. I go through truck tires more quickly, and they are not fun to pay for!

What model? Just switched to my winter Hankook tires this week. Need to tame the 590 ponies in my Audi for the upcoming alpine weather!
