Yes. But do we need an SUV from Rolls Royce?

I'd argue RR made this SUV knowing that it didn't fit the brand's image, but they decided to do so because the profit implications are huge. FYI. People in the UK buy SUVs because they like the imposing look, the sporty capabilities, and because it's a trend that Americans started. People in USA buy SUVs at this level for an entirely different reason. A tax write off reason. It was a trend started inadvertently by the US Government to spur the USA auto industry (which makes a lot of pick up trucks) by giving businesses accelerated depreciation (which indirectly translates to a tax write-off) on large vehicles over a certain weight. USA is the largest market for RR, accounting for roughly 30% of all units sold. Cullinan is now the top selling model in RR. And a large percentage of SUVs in USA are considered business expenditures. This all supports the likely scenario that the creation of a thinly revised BMW X7 SUV into a RR product is more of a business decision than an actual organically inspired concept turned reality.
