Can someone explain to me…
the reason behind the slight difference in color between the hands and numerals on this recently acquired 2185F which I believe is from 1999. I wasn’t able to capture it so well in photos but it is more apparent on the wrist. Under normal lighting conditions, the hands are slightly yellowish while the numerals are slightly blue-green. Lume is stronger and longer lasting in the hands than in the numerals. I am assuming that both the hands and numerals are luminova. The watch was serviced in 2023 (hands and dial were not replaced at that time). Earlier prior service history is not known. Thanks for your input.

Since the hands and dial were replaced at the same time
The only explanation I could think of, is that they came from different batches and there is differences in either age or manufacturing process. If Blancpain keeps an old stock of spare parts, individual pieces can age at a different rate.
Actually, the hands and dial were not replaced at the most recent service.
But before that I don’t know.
It's possible the hands were replaced previous to last service
A watch of this age should generally have aged lume and aged hands. On mine, which I believe is all original, lume is vanilla-creamy on numeral and hands, all match in daylight, but hands glow far brighter than numerals in dark. My guess is the hands are ...

I was previously not a chronograph guy but once I entered my “chronograph phase”, the Blancpain flyback was near the top of my list. To top it off, this one was in nice condition and still under service warranty as well.

but I've noticed that on this model before. Lovely watch, by the way! I've owned it twice in steel and once in titanium, foolishly no longer have one.

I was more curious about it than anything else. But I’m definitely not going to worry about it. Great watch you have there!
