Hi, I am having trouble identifying the age, etc.. of this particular Bathyscaphe. It is a small watch (I don't know the exact dimensions) and is, as the pictures will show, in SS. It keeps perfect time, automatic with date, screw down crown and on the ba...

Gerry When i look at your watch it reminds me of a Seiko professional made in the very early '70 for ladies. Your watch is very unique and i have never seen anything like it. Do you have any know history of the watch? Brian

Hi Brian, Unfortunately, I know very little about it's provenance. I bought it from a woman whose parents lived for a long time in France (as she did as a child) so my initial impression is that it may have been purchased there. That is only a guess, thou...

I did not see this Batyscaphe before, but I think it is a "marriage". Blancpain normally used AS Anton Schild movements, and the logo on the crown is not from BP as well. Best regards Stephan
