Nice Report Magnus

A couple of other details.  First not only is the balance free sprung, but the spiral is in silicium, so that it is a-magnetic, a very nice feature to have.   The drop in power reserve is due to the increase in frequency from 3 Hz to 4 Hz.

You are right the correctors under the lugs are a nice feature.  I really like it on my watches.  If a watch has been allowed to run down, no more search for a toothpick to set the indications.  Easy to do now with one's finger tips.  A huge convenience.  And then there is the added bonus, that there are no dimples on the side of the watch.

Associated with the correctors is one "hidden" feature, in that there are no physical signs that it is there:  the secure construction of the calendar.  If a person were to make a manual adjustment of the calendar when it is in the course of changing automatically, which inevitably breaks the mechanism in the huge majority of complicated calendars, nothing bad will happen.  The movement is protected (or said another way secured) in that when manual changes are made, the automatic changing mechanism is disconnected protecting the calendar from damage.  This actually is a big deal.  A very knowledgeable collector friend of mine......whose name is known world wide among watch lovers....broke the calendar on his famous Geneva brand watch, which he attempted to make a calendar adjustment during one of the forbidden change times.  Nothing bad would have happened had this happened with the Blancpain secure construction.
