Blancpain

Not ultra-slim IMHO

 

Blancpain always made lovely calendar watches and I currently enjoy the ironic combination of a perpetual calendar with military dial of my Leman QP chrono.  BUT, this exaggerated claim of ultraplate complication for many of their current movements, like 5.32mm thick for the 6654, is irksome.  Or am I just being a Purist?

A couple of other details. First not only is the balance free sprung, but the spiral is in silicium, so that it is a-magnetic, a very nice feature to have. The drop in power reserve is due to the increase in frequency from 3 Hz to 4 Hz. You are right the ...
