Blancpain

I've really become taken with the plasma gray blue dialed Bathyscaphe in ceramic, it's a terrific combination! However, I wanted to check one something first before considering a purchase. I know that some ceramic watches affix their caseback with via pre... 

I think all Blancpain ceramic watches have press fit backs w/ rubber gaskets. From an engineering stand point, I wonder whether this is a good idea in the long run(taking a ceramic back on and off repeatedly like this).

The average mechanical watch (not exposed to a photo-crazy PuristS owner) probably has its back removed only a few times in its lifetime. The rubber gasket keeps the ceramic case from being exposed to any concentrated forces or load points. Cheers, Cazale...
