Breguet fonts

I love this watch and see this pic every day on my laptop. Only just today noticed they used a sans serif font for the EOT I wonder what drove that choice, given the beauty of the serifed Breguet numbers I have to go look to see if A-L Breguet ever mixed ...

I think it would be uncommon but I am light-years out of my depth...

I am guessing sans-serif fonts were just being introduced towards the end of A.-L. Breguet's life and I think the actual term sans-serif was formally introduced (Vincent Figgins) a decade after Breguet's death. ...

If you look closely...

...there is a subtle serif on the base of the '1,' and the downstroke on the top of the '1' makes it fit with the other 'old school' type...

www.breguet.com The giant 10HZ in a totally unrelated font, looks horrific... Too bad b/c its a very cool watch lol

The common theme here

seems to be the use of a different font for all subdials. While all but the EOT are serif, they’re all different fonts. Maybe they ran out of choices and so opted for a sans-serif?
