Breguet Boutique Beverly Hills, Part 3 - Tourbillon Exhibition
In addition to the grand re-opening
of the boutique, Breguet also debuted "Breguet, The Innovator, Inventor
of the Tourbillon" exhibit that is part of a worldwide tour.
The collection will remain on display and open to the public at the
Breguet Boutique Beverly Hills between October 3rd to October
19th. After that it will continue it's journey across the U.S.
to Chicago and New York. Another large exhibit will
concurrently be on display around the work with visits in mid-October at
the Paris Breguet Boutique at Place Vendome.
Inside
the boutique the back area has been position for the tourbillon
exhibit. A large model with an exploded view of Breguet's
tourbillon is placed at the entrance of the display
area.
On display were Breguet Tourbillon wrist watches and pocket watches from antique and current collections.
I don't want to spoil the experience of seeing these wonderful timepieces in person, so for now I will only post a closer look at the Breguet Tradition 7047 Tourbillon Fusee in rose gold. This version features a fusee and chain transmission and flat silicon balance spring with the Breguet overcoil. The dial features the black galvanic-coated and hand engine turned gold dial. Hours and minutes are displayed on the subdial at the 7 o'clock position and the 60 second tourbillon with a titanium upper bridge at 1 o'clock position. The 18 carat rose gold case is 41mm that houses the Breguet 569 caliber movement.
In the general boutique area is a display for the Breguet 7637 Minute Repeater. This is a boutique exclusive timepiece and offered in a 42mm pink gold case and skeletonized dial. I hope to get a closer and detailed look in the next few weeks and will post a separate report on this watch.
The Breguet Classique 3357BR Tourbillon with the 558 caliber movement offered in yellow, white and pink gold. Cased in a more conservative 35mm diameter.
And various color variations on the La Tradition. I still prefer the original 7027 in yellow gold and to me the size proportions and reddish tinted yellow gold is the most attractive of all.
For the ladies, the Breguet Reine de Naples Collection is an elegant timepiece and offered in models with precious stones and complete jewelry pieces.
