Hi there! I promised to do a little research for a friend, but in that endeavour, I've come across a couple of people who have never seen this movement, and therefore have their doubts.

NO
I'd say it is the usual generic Swiss ebauche, possibly marked "Spiral Breguet" to indicate a breguet overcoil, but no connection to the man or the brand A
Thanks... puzzling because
it comes with an 18k gold case marked Breguet, and a nice clean dial as well. And when he wrote to Breguet they said it sold in 1899 for 500 FFR on September 20th, 1899. I wonder if the movement didn't get switched out along the way... for whatever reason...

Pictures aren't the best but for now it is what I've got. The dial says Breguet 3826....
