Hmm. I don’t really see anything, are you taking about the angled part of the ruby that touches escape wheel?
The angle of the jewel facing the escape wheel is clearly visible, even with the poor picture.
Basically, this isn't a good picture and people are making things up based on what they can't see well.
Where to draw the line though
Zoom 100x and you will see Himalayan peaks and challenger deep level of trenches, that's why personally I have never understood the obsession with finishing.
