Interesting criteria
I have similar guidelines for selecting timepieces. I generally choose what to buy and wear based on the event and attire. The Breguet 5207 is for what I refer to as informal dress occasions the 3800 for casual attire. I have a Rolex Cellini Time Only with black dial in RG for formal dress occasions and plan to purchase a Breguet 7787 in WG for casual elegant events. My tool watch is a vintage Seiko. Perhaps our criteria is why our choices are so similar.

Yes, it does feel great and above all I feel satisfied with closure. In future wherever and whenever I am looking at the time, it will be on one of my Breguet watches; one of, if not the finest and important Watch Houses.
