It’s about time (no pun intended)! So few platinum, non-tourbillon offerings outside of the Tradition line.
Hopefully more such releases to come in the Classique range. Would love a black dial two-hander without date. They seem to flirt with this possibility but I haven’t seen it like in other metals.

Breguet will soon be launching a platinum version of its award winning Classique Souscription watch. Unfortunately it still comes in a 40mm case. In my opinion, a 37 to 38mm case would be a better fit for most wrists as white dials wear larger and with on...
I had mixed feelings on this one. Mostly because of the size, as you mentioned it. Now I could see it two times in real, and yes, while I would have preferred a 38 mm case, in real it looks a bit smaller than the 40 mm suggests.
I love it in platinum! But once again, 2 mm smaller would be great. And as we are at it, it takes a bit of time to get used to read the time, but after a while it is quite doable. Best, Nicolas

A one handed watch is always challenging to read the exact time. I once owned a Meistersinger but the ownership was short as I value precision. Thank you for your feedback.

Breguet I find
tend to resort to traditional case metals so titanium or tantalum would be a departure from its values. I mean when have we seen a Breguet in the classique range in steel for example.
Super simple: Great! Besides no date, there is only 1 hand. Ha ha.
I wonder if there is any watch simpler than a 1-hand one? I can handle big watches, so for me, 40mm is the sweet spot. Even 42 is good on my hefty wrist. I know there are a few identical watches but made in 2 different sizes to suit more wrists.

would have been perfect as the movement could fit into a smaller case.

For me I find the original version is more breguet with the colored metal and ties in with the original ref its based on.

Will be nice to see this in platinum, esp with the white enamel dial. This is one watch where i probably wouldn’t mind 40mm due to regular curved lugs.

If this watch had adopted Breguet's long lugs, it would be too large for many. The curved lugs are definitely a plus.
Yes, one handed watches
tend to appear as if something is missing on the dial and indeed something is but they are also quite charming and relive how time was told a few hundred years ago when many clocks also had one hand.
38mm x 9mm would have been a welcome down-size from 40mm x 10.8mm...
...not that the gold version (a lovely hue) didn't fit my 7.25" wrist well. To me it's a dress watch, and those should be discreet and thin. I could also do without the engraving on the movement. The ref. 5177 is nice at 38mm x 8.8mm with no date. It woul...
