Only have two Breguets in my collection - this Tradition and a WG Classique.
With the single deployant clasp and straight lugs it wears quite large for its size. The Breguet short strap set makes it wearable for me, but the more recent double deployants that Breguet have been using make strap fitting much easier for my 17.2cm wrist.
On some models with the single deployant I’ve had to go with custom 115/55 sizing to get the deployant to sit well. This also applies to the Pateks in my collection where the short strap sets better accommodate the fit of the single deployant.
I’m always curious as to the thought process of manufactures on strap sizing. JLC never seem to get it right for me - I’ve seen 120/80 on a Duometre Chronograph and similar sizing on the Casa Fagliano straps for some of their Reversos. With deployants there’s way less ability to adjust given the fixed position of one side of the strap on the deployant- regardless of whether it’s a single or double. For me - deployant means a (virtual) trip to a custom strap maker every time!
If I have a choice I pretty much go with a tang buckle on every occasion.
