A Question of Taste, Perhaps
As Amanico stated, style is in the eye of the beholder. My issue isn't with bold or even bombastic styling, however. Alain Silberstein, Audemars Piguet, and even Patek with their Calatrava and Nautilus lines are all reccognizable to the eye. However, they don't plaster their logo in plain view, as BVlGARI does with some of their bezel designs.
And, I never quesitoned BVLARI'S mechanics. Quite honestly I wouldn't even get to that point because the logo as part of styling puts me off. It's just my contention that quality doesn't need to announce itself so blatantly. It's like walking into a room and shouting your presence rather than letting other's notice your arrival. Some prefer one manner; others another. I'm in the later category.

Thank you for such an exhaustive and insightful 'exposee' of the Bvlgari manufacture - new respect is due. As an interesting aside (and for what it is worth), apparently Bvlgari has more COSC certification than any other brand after Rolex, Omega and Breit...

Is it just me or does anyone else find the prominence of the BVLGARI brand, particularly on the bezel, a wee-bit overpowering, to put it politely? Rather than focusing on the beauty of the piece, the branding interferes, announcing itself before any other...
