I think IWC screwed up big time. The watch is really just far too thick. And just not a good value overall. It's also too bulky and bold, not elegant, nor refined. And then that price! It's laughable. The watch costs as much as a Chopard Alpine Eagle or a Bulgari Octo Finissimo and simply doesn't have the quality. One can argue that the Chopard Alpine Eagle and the Bulgari Octo Finissimo are bargains that are priced low, and thus the IWC is not as overpriced when compared to other watches. But nevertheless... The IWC - which I REALLY WANT TO LOVE is just not what I expected and not very true to the original Genta design. What a missed opportunity!
To the more average watch collector, people are going to be so happy that IWC has revived their Genta-esque model. But to those with a keen eye who've seen the original, they'll see an entirely new watch or a bad copy. I can understand that IWC wants to create a new watch and not identically copy an old one. But at the same time, they've also got to keep most of the DNA, and that DNA is lost. Sadly.

Forgot to mention, the 38mm GP Laureato also was on the list.
But theyy are not available here, and imported from overseas is nightmare with customs and tax; it just not worth it. Not to mention the service and repair problems because there is no GP dealer or service here.

Could not agree more. To be honest, the design not so bad IMHO, if they release it with quick release system, extra strap, and priced between 8K to 9K, i may buy it.
Meanwhile.....this beauty has not lost its charm ...

I have ordered a leather strap also. So i will have 3 different looks : sporty with rubber, elegant with leather, and luxury with bracelet.
