But the problem they purport to tackle is one that is minimal (variations due to gravity).
The Piaget is a flying tourbillon mounted on the minute hand, so conceptually it is very similar to the Freak Diavolo, i.e. one revolution an hour.
The Cartier on the other hand has the tourbillon doubling up as the seconds hand, making one revolution a second. The tourbillon is counterweighted with a platinum weight at the other end of the seconds hand.
Another orbital tourbillon is the Jean Dunand Tourbillon Orbital.
But interestingly the Cartier is the lowest priced of the lot, which is rarely the case for any Cartier.
