I wonder why only seven pieces of the tank Cintree with red Arabic numerals? Could there be any association with the seven states that make up the U.A.E.? Surely, this Cartier Tank below would also qualify..... Cartier Tank ??? Regards, MTF ...  

This was a special order so I think someone had them made (ordered) for himself and his sons. But of course with special orders we are never sure. Best, GEO

Love both pieces! I miss seeing the Paris below the Cartier brand. I find it very aesthetically pleasing somehow. The current models feel a tad empty without the word Paris.

I agree, but that was only done in the past when Cartier Paris, Cartier London and Cartier New York worked independently from each other. Cartier in 1998 created the Collection Privée series as an hommage to their historical models. 99,9% of these CPCP wa... 

But I love the Privee collection. A pity it ended in 2008. I particular like the Tortue chronograph

because of its historical background and because of its complication that's so popular among collectors.

Vianney Halter was involved in making this. Is this true? Would you care to share what's the historical background to this piece?
