I have seen this vintage Cartier Pasha pictured prior to 1985
I was very curious after reading this thread so I pulled out some vintage Cartier catalogues. I found one from 1980 (the Pasha had certainly not been launched in 1980) and in the beginning of the catalogue there are a few pages illustrating the history of the brand and some pictures of vintage models and, among them, there is a very clear picture of the original Pasha watch, but without the grid... It seems to be exactly the same watch pictured above, but on a different (very simple) leather bracelet...

The Pasha was for the first time introduced in 1985

When I see this photo in (some) Cartier books I always wondering:👉👉 if this is the 40s original Then what really Gerald Genta did in 1985 to the design?! Did he just copy a smaller case and put some numbers on the bezel?! Its really not work...
