How interesting. Did Cartier ever acknowledge this?
If you're right (and I believe you to be the ultimate on all matters concerning Cartier horology!) does it mean that it that they made a special piece without date and in the larger 41mm dimension? Or is it rather a Franken watch with a later dial and the diameter perhaps also incorrectly stated?

The Pasha was for the first time introduced in 1985
