Cartier

The Tank MC is one of my shortlist (or should I say "longlist" since there are too many candidates of watches in my loooooonglist). Made a trip to the Cartier boutique in Singapore today and managed to see all 3 MCs at the same time! Steel, rose gold and ...  

And agree that the steel version is the best value unless you want a precious metal, of course. Beautiful things, Cartier is really catching my attention recently!

Robin, I agree. As I've said before (some say ad nauseum ) ;) the steel Tank MC should be on the shortlist of people who want to go into mechanical timepieces from Cartier. It has the " qualities and heritage of the brand " but still allows entry into the... 

It is indeed a good entry watch to Cartier mechanical watches with all the heritage of Cartier. If the rose gold version were double instead of 3x the price, I will strongly consider it too. Cheers Robin

Indeed I prefer it based on its warmth. And somehow I want a gold cartier... I dont know why! :) Maybe becos I got a RG cartier ballon bleu for my wife and I want to match her watch (I don't have a cartier yet). Thanks Oliver for the good reminder - what ...

but that is a different league entirely!! My favorite Tank MC is the stainless steel with silver dial. When it comes to the gold, I really prefer the Tank Louis Cartier Extra-Flat, which is a little narrower and much thinner, but such an understated beaut... 

Hi Bill Like you, my current favorite for Tank MC will be the steel with silver dial. I had mentioned a gold Cartier will be more special and starting looking again and indeed (before I read any articles by Fx or you previously), the Tank LC ultra thin XL...
