On the wrist today, for its inaugural wearing.
CPCP Rotonde de Cartier Jour et Nuit, white gold, Ref. #W1550151.It runs on a hand-wound JLC-supplied caliber 9903 MC, and the detailed, 3-dimensional hand engraving on the day/night hours disk is utterly captivating. I'd been waiting to wear this until a bespoke strap came in, but I've been on a Cartier rip of late, and I lost patience.
In some ways, it's a shame Cartier gave up on the CPCP enterprise, though they have, happily, gone back to re-releasing some of their historic designs - for example, the Cloche, in limited high-end series of late. I'm enjoying this one immensely. (For anybody who's wondering, this watch reads "10:23 AM" in the upper photo.)
Best holiday wishes to all!
