Thanks! This site has been a great resource, not easy to find a Chopard watch dedicated group. This is the first platinum watch I own actually, and my third Chopard (I also have a 1860 LUC Steel Salmon and the 1860 LUC XPS Officer with silver dial), I have gold and steel, and I have to say the weight of the platinum really conveys another feeling.
Compared to the other two Chopard's I have to say, I prefer this case shape. The lugs are tapered a bit more and it has more of a natural curve to it. Definitely no regrets whatsoever!This message has been edited by India Whiskey Charlie on 2025-11-04 12:59:35

So this is Chopard's new quick-release watch strap system. Basically their way of locking people into their strap ecosystem. So there's a quick strap release and a buckle release. I am still deciding whether or not I like it lol.

I read a review saying that this system worked with any straps, is that not right? They use a special strap? Love the watch, I have the previous model with the power reserve on the front, they sure are beautiful watches.

So Chopard has always had some type of bee affinity, something about industrious nature. So they do things like hexagon bee hive inspired guilloche, make their own honey, carve bee hives on their watches, and now their new thing is carving a bee on platin...

I was leaning towards the rose gold/dark blue at first and it looks great on my skin tone. But when I saw the platinum I knew right away it was the one.
