So, I thought you would appreciate a close up of the dial, which I really like. As I mentioned (but should have provided photos of) the "sun ray" detail is a really subtle way to bring your eye to the date window.
The second item I wanted to show in detail was the alternating brushed/polished/brushed finish, which is really nicely done. The finish has a slight reddish/green sheen to it in daylight...my guess is, it's not a simple brushed effect, it's patterned with something.
Finally, I felt bad about not showing a detailed photo of the back. After discussing the rotating moon, I've been paying more attention to it, and I really love the constellations on the sub-dial.

give me a couple days to take some photos to show what I want to talk about, but the bottom line is that from a jewelry perspective, the watch is well done. They did some very cool things that you notice when you look closely.

Nice overview of the Chopard, but does a 22-18 taper not make it look and/or feel a bit unbalanced?
I’d have thought sticking with the straight 22 or a taper to 20mm would’ve been more harmonious with the case dimensions.
It's not too bad...but just as importantly, it's what's available.
Edit: I'm embarrassed that I forgot what size strap *I had just picked up* was. The strap I'm using is a 22/18 tapered strap, *but*, it's not bad. If Cartier had a 20mm roadster (santos? whatever.) strap, I would consider installing it, but I don't think ...
My LUC Chrono One came on a 22/18...
Admittedly it is a smaller watch but the taper is still relatively slight visually and it works really well! But Chopard makes a 22/18 at any rate and a deployant clasp for it, too
Ah, you are correct
I suppose to keep brand integrity I should consider that option in the future, but the Cartier deployment is in my opinion brilliant, as it holds both strap ends to the clasp, and gives you a little extra security.
