I like the idea, generally.
I don’t know this watch so hard to comment specifically on the reference itself.
However, I do like the airport codes and the general idea of a World Timer.
40mm or below I think it a critical choice. Not that you couldn’t have enough interest for a 25 piece run at 42mm, but I think size will eliminate many of us.
It’s a nice idea to have two watches at two price points, I think the sub 10k watch is perhaps more critical as a community watch today than the higher budget project. Plus, for many people there would be a wider tolerance for not a perfect watch at the lower price point. I know for me for a 30k watch I will be a lot more particular and it would really need to sign to me for me to consider it.
I hadn’t seen the other thread on this until this AM but I noted you mentioned Habring. This was going to be my single comment here as I suspect that Habring may be one of the easier to work with and I think carry enough “horological chops” to satisfy the community. Now the question is could they come up with a World Time for us?
The other thought was Ming, a friend of the site perhaps and therefore some good will (assuming bridges were not burned in the past). But perhaps not established enough as a brand to merit an anniversary watch. I think some will have that view.
I don’t envy you, this is a tough project. Even more so these days given how easy it is for brands.

A too busy dial. I would prefer something more reduced. Otherwise your suggestions make a lot of sense and spice for this piece.

What a great post — I like the idea of working with Chopard and the world timer theme — although, I do agree this dial is a bit busy or full.
Smaller case — perfect Airport codes — love it I am fine with the orange-yellow accents — but, red is a good option I would say no to the tantalum and enamel dial options for budget considerations. Thanks for sharing some early creative ideas!

Here's another suggestion.
Hong Kong rather than Beijing for the cities. Besides, HKG is far more intuitive than PVG as far as airport codes are concerned.

Actually World timer should stay fr the 30k budget which not my level,
And each country capital should stay less USA as it cover multiple TimeZone. The 3 hands version is fr 10k budget but use normal micro rotor instead of precious metal to keep it below 10k. With both budget at Chopard, it may enhance the negotiation and ma...
I am just thinking here. What about something like ZÜRICH WORLD TIME. Below 10 K , which means easier to budget for several WPS members , independent manufacturer, highly praised by watchmakers like Philippe Dufour.
They have some few limited collaborations in the past. Just thinking out loud here

I think the XP is much more likely to be in budget.
What about using the twist case to make an XP driver's model, with the dial rotated so that the 12 marker is at the 1:30 position?

I would leave the case size and material unchanged due to budget. Love the airport codes. The only change from your suggestions: I would prefer a red-dark grey ring instead of a red-blue one. Red-blue is Rolex GMT.
