one question though..or perhaps clarification.....

 

from my understanding the Pro One GMT is not a true GMT......while the movement does have a 24 hour hand modification, neither hand is independent......meaning that the watch works the same as the now discontinued Rolex GMT (be it the 1675, 16750 or what ever).......the 24 hour hand simply shows the same time as the 12 hour hand (but in 24h format).

While I applaud the fact that Chopard has chosen to release a newer version of the Pro One I think it's shortcomings should be noted..

As well, on another note, Blancpain was the first company to release a diver's watch with a bezel cover in sapphire...specifically the Anniversary Edition of the Fifty Fathoms (Series 1, 2 and 3 IIRC).

Don't get me wrong,  I love Chopard and I was one of the first owners of the Pro One way back in 2002........but let's not get taken in by the Chopard marketing...........there are many other "true" GMT watches out at the moment that would suit his needs.......and still have a similar horological cache.

the concern, in term of accuracy, with current technology. Styling is attractive & cool, looks like a blackened or PVD...the current trend or craze now, and also pretty good pricing. Ball positions itself as a performance tool-watch. However, the true use...

I think deep down I am having doubt getting this Ball, so may be I am just looking for someone to either talk me into or out of it I am in the market for a watch that has a nice looking rubber strap with deployment clasp and will have at least 200m water ...

lowbee, Usually, I just state the facts and let the punter make his/her choice. Choosing watches is a personal thing. However, your shortlist does not match your criteria and I cannot stand by...silently. Aaaarrrgghhhh! You asked for a personal opinion......

does not operate or can be adjusted independently (as mentioned in my post : www.watchprosite.com ) Thanks for the info on the sapphire bezel and the nice Fifty Fathoms. I felt it is just the word 'original' in specification ( of the Pro One GMT), Chopard...

personally I love my Pro One.....simply the nicest "Haute Horology" diver out there....and yes I do think the movement is significantly better and nicer then the cal. 39 used in the GO Sport Evo (although I would LOVE to get one of those as well...so ya n...
